Song Hints

A Day In The Life
(About Paul's crash)

"A lucky man who made the grave"
"Blew his mind out in a car"
"Didn't notice the lights had changed"
"They'd seen his face before"
"Nobody was really sure"

Dr. Robert
(About the man who made William Faul)

"You're a new and better man"
"He does everything he can, Dr. Robert"

Yesterday
(Various)

"Suddenly half the man I used to be"

Faul talking about how he gave up his life to be Paul.

"Why she had to go, I don't know. She didn't say. I said something wrong."
This is John talking about how he and Paul got in to an argument before Paul stormed out, leading ultimately to the crash. He is sad, and confused about the death.

Nowhere Man
(About Faul)

"He's a real nowhere man"
"Living in his nowhere land"
"Nowhere man, can you see me at all?"

Eleanor Rigby
(Paul's death/funeral)

"Father McKenzie (McCartney?!) writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear"
 "..was buried.."
"Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave, no one was saved"

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
(Billy Shears?)

"So let me introduce to you the one and only Billy Shears and Sgt. Pepper's lonely heart's club band.." (Sgt. Pepper's Band is actually an idea taken from history (somewhere) where a man was able to take the place of another man without anyone catching on. Billy is a nice nickname for William Campbell)

Fixing A Hole
(William/Faul adjusting)

"And it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong I'm right where I belong. See the people (the Beatles) standing there, they disagree"
"Silly people (the Beatles) run around, they worry me."

She's Leaving Home
(Time of the crash)

"Wednesday morning at five o'clock, as the day begins"

Lovely Rita
(Rita, the girl who caused Paul to crash)

"Standing by a parking meter when I caught a glimpse of Rita"
Story has it that Rita was a fan who was hitchhiking, and Paul picked her up on the side of the road. Soon enough she realized it was Paul, and went CRAZY, causing her crash.

Hello, Goodbye
(Goodbye Paul, Hello William!)

"You say goodbye, I say hello"
